"Let's go fly a kite"

On Saturday we met Amanda and her family (and a million of our closest community members)at the West Jordan park. We played at the enormous playground and Hunter flew his new Spiderman kite... all by himself. I just can't get over how big he is getting. We had a great time...

Hunter's blanket...

3 1/2 weeks ago Hunter left his beloved blanket at Grandma's house. The first few nights were heartbreaking as he tried to explain to me how much his blanket was missing him and how much he loved his blanket and that he really needed it, because mommy bought it for him when he was just a baby. After much persuading I convinced him that his truck blanket would do the job until we could "rescue" his blanket from Grandma. Well, we finally got it back on Friday night and you would have thought it was Christmas. He was so excited he wouldn't let it go. Now for a long time now he really only uses it when he sleeps, but his inner "Linus" came out over the weekend. He even had to take a picture of it when we got home. The following pictures are Hunter "hangin" with his blanket. What a precious gift these little moments are for me.

Movie Night

Last night Hunter and I had movie night. Hunter got a new movie from Grandpa Phil, Dragon Hunters, so we popped popcorn the old fashion way (sort of) and settled in to watch his new flick!
Hunter loved the movie! He said "it was such a cute show". I really don't think you can go wrong with a movie that has Dragons and Knights in it. However, there was about 5 seconds of questionable language for a four year old, but it was a pretty good show none the less. We enjoyed our cuddle time...

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter Everyone...

It seems like these holidays are coming so quickly anymore that you really don't have time to enjoy them, such is the case with Easter... Hunter spent the weekend with his Daddy and his Daddy's family. He had a great time with everyone. While he was gone I took the time to get everything in order and ready for Easter. When Hunter got home he immediately spotted the eggs and realized that the Easter Bunny had come to our house as well. He was very excited, as was I, however, my camera is malfunctioning and most of my pictures are blurry. Sorry!!! After Hunter finished hunting for all of his goodies we headed off to Grandma Helen's and Grandpa Phil's for Easter dinner. Helen and Phil are my dear friends and Hunter just loves them so much they have become his adopted Grandparents. Helen's son Joe was in town and put on a fun Easter Egg hunt for Hunter as well. "You're the best Joe... Thank you! Hunter had a great time collecting all the eggs, and hanging with the guys, including Schultz ("Dumbee"). Helen and Joe made a WONDERFUL dinner (as always) even going out of her way to make Hunter a casaeea (quesedilla), on top of the prime rib dinner they had just made. Than you Helen, Phil and Joe for making us feel like part of your family... We love you!

Hunter LOVES going to the movies

I took Hunter to see Monster's vs. Aliens last Saturday and you would have thought that we were going to Disneyland. I made him take a nap before we went and it was all I could do to get him to fall asleep. Of course the nap didn't last very long and we were off. we get to the theatre and he couldn't stand still in line. We got our tickets and rushed to the concessions to get our "kid packs", which by the way Hunter is so impressed with that he had to take it home with him, and while standing in line waiting to order I uttered three little words that set off a demonstration of sheer excitement that made everyone in line laugh out loud. I told him that he could have SODA... Now everyone who knows me well, knows that Hunter does not get soda except on the very rarest of occasions. So Hunter screamed so loud and ran into my arms kissing and hugging me and jumping up and down and telling everyone else in line with us, that he was getting soda. The entertainment however does not stop there. Once we sat down and the movie started every time the people in the theatre would laugh, Hunter would laugh hysterically (I am still not so sure if he knew what was so funny), and that made everyone else laugh even harder. But the crowning moment to our whole adventure is when Hunter got so engulfed in the movie, forgetting that there was other people there, jumped out of his seat and with his arms raised in the air proclaimed at the top of his voice, "THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!" Everyone busted up laughing. A bit embarrassed, he buried his head in his hands and said "oh brother"... I love this little boy so much. He never skips a beat! We had a great time. He is already counting down the days until "UP" is released...
