Hunter went Trick or Treating with his cousin Merrisa. He was so excited he panicked when I stopped at the store to grab some water. He thought that we were going to miss the whole thing! We made it to Merrisa's and they were off and running. I wasn't sure how Hunter was going to react to some of the scarier costumes , and sure enough about half way through this guy in a great costume (very scary) walked right up behind Hunter at the door and I told Amanda, "Oh no trick or treating is over as soon as Hunter sees him" Hunter turned around and saw him, I started walking towards the house knowing that he would start freaking out, I looked up at him and he was all smiles and petting the guys long bearded mask. He ran over to me an said Mom did you see that guy? And I said yes, weren't you scared? And with every ounce of seriousness in his little body he says "(sigh) Mom, It's just a mask!" and shaking his head in disgust (while Amanda & I were laughing hystarically) he simply walked on over to the next house! We ate a yummy chili dinner at Char & Dave's then we headed over to Grandpa's house to get spoiled with all kinds of treats and play pool... It was a perfect night, we were all exhausted but we had so much fun. I do believe Halloween is Hunter's favorite holiday. He insisted that it wasn't over when he woke up the next morning to find I had almost all of the decorations down and put away! He begged me to leave them up until after his birthday (not a chance)! I told him we had to have Thanksgiving and then it was time to get ready for Santa! He was willing to give up Thanksgiving if I kept the Halloween stuff up!!! I won, Halloween was down and put away that day! Poor baby, he did make a very good case though. He knows how to work those eyes!!!

Halloween Parade at School
Cutting Pumpkins
Hunter was sick when we carved pumpkins. He was so excited but the excitement wore off real fast and we only carved one. But he thought it was great, and he did a great job scooping out the guts... I tried to talk him into cooking the pumpkin seeds and he thought that I was out of my mind, "Gross mom they stink, I'm not eating those", so needless to say we didn't. I did get a cute little punkin and his pumpkin out of it all....
Hunter is obsessed with "Bampires" so he wanted a "Bampire Jack O Lantern"

Pumpkin Patch with my "Little Punkin"
Hunter and I went to the Pumpkin Patch to hunt for this years pumpkins. We had a lot of fun and found our five pumpkins (we needed five because Hunter is turning five) in record time. Of course Hunter wanted to go right home and "cut his pumpkins" but it was too late, so we got peekza (pizza) and had a picnic in the front room...
All I can say is Awww... What a cute boy!

SPOOKY
I LOVE decorating for the holidays, it's a little tradition I picked up from my Mom. She was always so excited for the holidays and made everything magical. Even as adults she kept us all young at heart.
I too get the decorating bug, okay I am being modest I turn into a big kid at the holidays, but it's all worth it when my little boy tells me "Thank you mommy, you're the best mommy ever"...
So here is what I did to my house...
My First Field Trip - Sandy Firestation
Hunter went on his first field trip to the Sandy Fire Station. The Firefighters put on a wonderful puppet show all about fire safety. Can you guess what the kids favorite demonstration was???? STOP, DROP & ROLL! Hunter was doing that every chance he got for about a week after.
Hunter had a great time and loved all the gear the firefighters had. The only down side... Hunter is a napper, and the field trip was at noon his nap time .....
Sleepy boy, he couldn't stop yawning!
