Lagoon

I have three words for our trip to Lagoon... Hot, hot, hot....expensive! I know that was four words but I had forgotten about the expensive part because it was so hot! But it was a lot of fun. I am in shock that I was able to take Hunter on all of the rides with the exception of the real big rides. He had no fear! He wanted to ride everything. After about 40 minutes the heat had over come him (he is such a HOT BOD) and he lost his energy. I tried to keep him nice and hydrated which helped some but he discovered a "way too much fun" way to cool off. the little water fountain park. He played, and played in the water and I just let him go for as long as he wanted because it was so HOT! He stayed in there for over an hour, but had a fabulous time! Me on the other hand, I nearly evaporated! But I got some cute pictures and a happy boy, so I manned up and enjoyed his giggles.

WRONG SHOES... Okay so I haven't been to Lagoon in ages but I did remember that you had to have closed toe shoes to ride the rides, well some of them at least! I put his Vans on him and thought that was perfect. NOT PERFECT!!! his poor feet were killing him and his wet shoes gave him a blister. I'll know better next time... Sorry son. Needless to say we didn't make it the whole day, and Hunter didn't get to experience the lights at night, but we did have a blast!

Cute sweaty boy!

He loved the bumper cars.

one of Hunter's favorite rides...Odyssey

Hooooray for the water park!

Awwww... I mean couldn't you just squeeze him???

4th of July

What a perfect day!

I can't remember the last time the parade was not overshadowed by the heat! But this year it was perfect weather, and a great parade. I'm not sure if it is an economical thing or just greed but the parades of late have not lived up to what I remembered as a kid, but they finally have started coming around. Kudos to this years West Jordan parade organizers. the kids had a great time....

After the parade we went swimming ans we swam and swam and swam! it was hard getting Hunter out of the pool but we had lots more to do.

We got showered and headed over to my sister Jenny's house for a birthday celebration for my Dad and Niece Jaimee. Great food, Jenny's fab. home made cheese cake and a "camp fire" complete with marshmallows to roast! It was a lot of fun and I didn't even make it down the driveway before little man was passed out! Happy Birthday Dad, Jaimee and America!!!!
