Happy Valentines Day!

I was one lucky gal this morning. I got to spend a few extra hours with my valentine this morning, before dashing off to work. Here is what we did. The pictures are all backwards. We had a CRAZY busy Sunday. Hunter was with his Dad this weekend, and we had a million things to do to prepare for Valentines Day. However, I promised him I wouldn't start anything until he got home. So we started by Decorating his Valentine box, then we had to make his Valentines for his classmates, the teaching staff at his school, and the neighbors. Phewww! After he went to be I put out his little gift bucket from me. This morning all of his breakfast was pink and red, then off to school we went! He stuck with me the whole time, what a trooper! Oh and he also made sure that every pan and spoon were licked clean! (See last picture) ...I hope your valentines day is filled with romance and love!!!!
I ended up making 26 of these puppies.....

Star Student

BOO TO MY CRAPPY CAMERA!!!!!

I swear EVERY time I go into Hunter's school my camera will not take a clear picture. BOO!

With that being said... I am so proud of Hunter. He was chosen as Star Student and I got to go into his class and talk about how special he is to our family, and we did show and tell with baby clothes and pictures. Hunter was so excited about the entire process, but mostly that Mommy got to go to school with him. He gets to wear a special badge, he is the teachers helper all week, and his "All about me" poster is hung up for all the school to see.

Good job buggy! We love you and are all so proud of you!

A cold Sunday afternoon

Here in the great state of Utah we have been caught in a VERY cold spell. As Hunter and I like to quote one of our favorite books on days like these.... "It's too wet to go out, too cold to play ball, so we sat in the house and did nothing at all".... Well of course we never do nothing. Hunter painted a new masterpiece to hang on his bedroom door. We love Spidy!

The month for lover's... Mr. Darcy where are you?

Happy February everyone... I haven't really had the opportunity to enjoy the "Lover's Month" as I once did, however, I am turning over a new leaf and sending the "love" ora out into the universe. I watch the world with great admiration towards all the love that surrounds me, while secretly praying to myself that one day I will again live that life, instead of spending it as a spectator. There are very few people who truly find, and know what undying love is, one such couple is Mr. and Mrs. Nielson (click on the nienie dialogues button on the right to view her blog), their love story has truly inspired me. I don't know them, and have never met them, but they put most love affairs to shame. Check out her post involving "Post it Notes" from her Mr. It is one of my very favorite posts.

Maybe all of my longing for love has to do with my over load of Austen? Yes, once again I am chest deep into my novel Pride and Prejudice, and I can't get enough of it! Every time I read this book it is like reading it for the first time. So for now I will continue my undying love affair with the fictional, but still incredible Mr. Darcy, until the day I find my very own Mr. Darcy...

Awwww, isn't he amazing? Yummy... Muahhh!!!! (Collin Firth as Darcy... The BEST Darcy).
P.S. Ladies, if you want an escape into the world of good manners, love, and the wit that only a woman has, pick up Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen) and steal a few moments away into the world of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. You won't regret it.

Front Room Fort

How do I spring clean with a little one who wants my attention all the time??? We build a "front room fort". I was able to get all my laundry done including all bedding, and I was able to clean out cupboards, drawers, and (my favorite) a good scrub with bleach over almost every hard surface. Hooray for the fort. The Bat Cave, Stuffed animals, and the DS have all taken up residency in the fort, but it kept Hunter entertained most of the day. And although everything is clean, I STILL have "THE FORT" in my living room, Ugg! I am still trying to come up with an alternative that Hunter will buy into so we can take it down, but until then I'll just enjoy his smiles.

Thankful for:

Happy Child,
Clean Home
Simplicity,
and Front Room Forts

Oh, and we also went to the Kids Fair on Saturday where Hunter got his face painted like Spiderman. I'll post that later....

Little white treasures

So Hunter's first little tooth fell out before I could finish his tooth treasure box. So here it is all done. He thinks it's pretty neat~

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Breaking news everyone.... Hunter lost his first baby tooth last night eating dinner. He came running up to me screeching. "I thought that I was biting into something hard in my taco, but it was my TOOTH! I'm so excited Mommy". I saw the blood drooling down his chin and wasn't sure if that would freak him out so I grabbed a cup of cold water and before he could rinse he saw the blood but was okay with it. "Wow that's a lot of blood". After he rinsed all was good and I have one excited little boy. Another milestone for Hunter, and one less piece of "baby" for Mom.
