~Pioneer Day~

~July 24th~

Living so far away from family created a sparse photo gallery this year for the 4th of July.  Okay, I didn't take any pictures on the 4th.  It was a bit crazy, but fun, and we had to leave before we got to the fireworks (I didn't think to take the 5th off).

We made up for it though on Pioneer Day, the 24th of July

Daddy was sorely missed (boo to working out of town) but Hunter and I had a great time.

 We got our Glow on

Sparklers sparkled, and Hunter got to try out one of my favorite tricks with a sparkler.  Bending the end so you can twirl it really fast.  He's still practicing that one.

Fountains dazzled

And Hunter got brave enough to light one by himself...

Okay, so he was brave enough to hold the lit lighter while I snapped a quick picture so it looked like he lit it.

no matter... it was still pretty

Pioneer Day... The tale tale sign that we are approaching the down hill side of summer.  Back to school is next.  This girl isn't sad at all about that, it means that Autumn is just around the corner!!!

Happy times.

It's Banner time...

I finally finished my Birthday Banner.  I geek out more often than Steve would like me to with crafts, but I had to come up with a creative way to display everyone's special day, and with our family ever growing it's hard to keep track, so this is the perfect way for me to keep all the dates straight and make sure everyone is celebrated....

It's so cute

I'll post a final picture when I get all of the pictures into this cute green frame and the DATE sign up.

So very excited!

~Gender Reveal~

Steve's son and daughter in law put together the cutest gender reveal party for the family.  I salute Jordon and Haylie for their incredible patients.  Not even they knew what the baby's gender would be, so they could find out at the same time as all of us.

First of all the decorations... Adorable
the food... Wonderful
The dessert... Amazing
and the results... Perfect!

Haylie and Jordon you did an amazing job and I can't wait to meet this precious baby!

Hunter, Dad, big brother Preston and Nyssi playing some football while we waited for the big reveal...

 Drum roll please.....

And... It's a Girl!!!!
I could have started to cry.  I am soooooo excited for this addition to the family.

Okay so obviously her genetics will top the scales at gorgeous, I mean look at Mommy and Daddy, and it doesn't stop there... it's ridiculous how beautiful this family is.  I love them, each and every one.

(I am somewhat partial to tall dark an handsome at the top left... ahhh swoon)!

Jurassic Journey

Family night at the Dinosaur Park

Steve surprised us with a trip to the Ogden Dinosaur Park for family night.

None of us had ever been there so we didn't know what to expect.  I must say I was pleasantly surprised.

It really is a nice place with lots to do for the kiddo's.  Hunter of course loved the dinosaurs, walking down "Mystery Trails"  and panning for gold.  I loved all of the shaded trails... perfect for holding hands and watching our little absorb everything Dino.

Thanks Dad for such a fun Saturday afternoon.

This is one of my favorite photo's ever...  It kind of melts my heart.

Happy Holiday's

Hello friends, I am glad that you stopped by, because a lot has been happening at our homestead.

The holiday season has kicked off to a great start.  We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with amazing people.  To all of the family we didn't see I truly hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Hunter received a very special delivery on Thanksgiving evening from none other than Santa Claus.  Santa sent a special Elf to our home to watch over Hunter and make sure that Santa knows everything Hunter is up too.  Hunter named his elf "Scout" and although it's been great having him about he sure is a mischievous little bugger.  I am going to post daily on where we find Scout and what he has been up to while we are sleeping.... along with various other post of course.  So check back often to find out what shenanigans little Scout is up to.

Before signing off I need to tell the man in my life just how thankful I am for him and all he does.  I love you so much.

I never finished this post, however that sneaky little elf did get up to some shenanigans while he was visiting our home... Scout was with us for 33 nights, here are a few of my favorite places we found him...  Enjoy.
