I am not sure how it happened or why, but I am back in action....
I missed posting all that happened over the Christmas holiday (my favorite), including my baby's "Star Wars" birthday party. There is a hole in my heart as a result.
So I toyed with the idea of catching up with a Christmas in July post, but I will just sum up, and then catch up on 2013.
This was the first Christmas with my beloved, so that meant several fun additions to regular holiday traditions.
I hosted the parent/sibling Christmas dinner on Steve's side. I cooked a big meal for about 12 people, and bless their heart everyone brought a little something to help pull it all together. Although it was somewhat stressful, chaotic and exhausting it was so great having everyone together, and meeting the few family member's I hadn't met yet. I love them all.
My Baby's Birthday Party... We had a combo Star Wars birthday party for Hunter and his cousin Tanner this year. I didn't have to do much as far as decorating because we had it at Classic Fun Center. The kids were able to Roller Skate, bounce houses/slides and laser tag. Hunter's sweet brother's and sister's all came to support, we love them dearly. I made a Star Wars cake that looked pretty awesome however the black food coloring should have come with a warning, turned everyone's mouth purple... Oops. Pizza, Ice Cream, soda, candy, tokens and an aspirin or 4... it was a ton of fun, my baby is 8, how did that happen?

Christmas 2013... It flew by, but it was such a special time. New home to decorate, new family and friends to cherish, my love to hold on to, and watching our boy with an endless smile on his face. It was magic.
New Years~ (Fail)
New Years was hysterical!!! Evidentially I have a flare for exaggerating. Hunter has never made it until midnight, he's never seen the ball drop in time square or even noticed the fireworks, yelling and pots and pans banging. Now before you call DCFS on me, it isn't by my choice. He just can't party like a "rock star". Well this year I built up the whole new years eve so much I guess Hunter was expecting time square to march through our living room. Hunter was falling asleep around 10:30 so I kept asking him to grab this and that from around the house to keep him up. Playing games only lasted a few minutes per game, and the last 10 minutes of 2012 was spent trying to wake up my little party animal. Finally the ball drops and we (Steve and I) were hooray-ing, hugging and kissing. Hunter looks me dead in the eye with the most disgusted look on his face and says "that's it'? I'm going to bed... I can't believe you woke me up for that"!
He makes me laugh.
