No grass Stains - No Glory
No Bruises - No Story
We had a great season this year. Hunter learned a lot more about America's favorite past time, and we learned a lot more about Hunter's talents.
Hunter graduated from T-ball to machine pitch this year (actually last year, but we were moving during last season). Needless to say it got a little more interesting. The coaches focused a lot more on rules, positions and plays.
We learned that Hunter can really catch the ball. He played 1st base most of the time due to his height and ability to catch. Although he loved playing catcher . He can also switch hit! He does have a roller coaster swing though, we'll be working on that.
It wouldn't be a baseball story if I didn't give an account of the battle wounds..
1. Torn up knees from sliding into home... They do not groom the fields for the little ones.
2. line drive to the shin
3. Last game of the season took a pitch to the forearm... The pitcher thought that he was ready, when in fact he was still putting on all the gear.
Countless mystery bruises and scrapes, and plenty of grass stains.
(Evidentially you are not suppose to remove said grass stains because they make your uniform look so cool. I'm still learning too).
